
Deanna Martinez
Deanna Martinez (she/her) has been a Director, Actor, and writer at theaters throughout the Sound, and is the current Director of Arts Engagement at Seattle Rep. Holding degrees in Interdisciplinary Arts and Education from the University of Washington, Deanna taught middle school Humanities for the Clover Park School district, before her full time life in theatre. While teaching, she developed the district Shakespeare curriculum. Her theatre students have been seen at Seattle Rep, Village, 5th Ave, SCT, Seattle Opera, The Apollo, community theaters, as well as in commercials and film. Recent directorial credits include “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Tacoma Arts Live), “A 1940’s Radio Christmas Carol” (Centerstage), “Steel Magnolias” (Tacoma Little Theatre), and “Cell Phone Unlocked” (Seattle Rep). A Board member of TPS, Deanna also serves on DEI committees throughout the region. She is represented by Mitchell Artist Management, and you can follow her everywhere at @actuallydeanna.
