Domonique Meeks
City of Seattle Office of Economic Development
Domonique Meeks has worked with the Office of Economic Development since 2018. His work revolves around digital access and grant-making. He spearheaded and program managed OED's Small Business Stabilization Fund which became one of the nation's first COVID recovery grants for small businesses. Through their efforts, they distributed over $13m in recovery funds. Domonique currently manages the Storefront Repair Fund, which is on pace to allocate $2m to small businesses that suffer from storefront damage caused by vandalism. He also manages the Digital Sales Access Program alongside partner Kay Tita who delivers custom training to small businesses looking to move from cash-only to digital operators that understand the analytics around their sales purchases and customer base. With family roots that trace back to Louisiana, Domonique was raised in the city of Kent and holds two bachelor's degrees from Central Washington University in Sociology and Criminal Justice along with a Master of Science in Information Management from the University of Washington. When he is not working you can probably find him spending time with his family, taking advantage of the PNW outdoors or perfecting his golf swing.
